Cob Pizza Oven build Quirky Workshops at Greystoke Cycle Cafe nr Ullswater
More pictures from the 'Hands on' Cob Pizza Oven days providing the 'know how' to build your own Pizza oven at home.

Starting with the importance of preparing a suitable base to prevent downwards heat loss and moving onto preparation of the cob itself and creating the oven shape and structure itself. Small groups of six people make up a class, prepare the dried cob and then tread it with their feet as the mix is hydrated - in order to prep the perfect consistency to build the oven. (Similar to the treading of grapes - please bring spare flip flops and towel for feet washing!)

All refreshments and a lovely two course lunch included in the day. In the afternoon you will cook pizza's you have made on an adjacent Cycle Cafe Pizza oven that is ready for immediate use. Days costs £100 pp and the course length is approx 9.30 -4.30pm.
