2017-02-18 - Portarlington Scout Camp
This weekend the Scouts headed down to Portarlington for a weekend of beach activities. After a short train ride to the city, the Scouts boarded the ferry "Capricornian Dancer" at Victoria Harbour for the 90 minute trip across Port Phillip Bay to Portarlington. It was beautiful cruising weather with calm seas and only a few clouds. We even had a chance to see the mighty Queen Mary docked at Station Pier. Once at Portarlington we quickly pitched our tents at the nearby caravan park and then headed down to the beach. Although the water was a little chilly it didn't stop everyone from having a good time.
