2016-05-15 - Joey Scouts JOTT 2016
JOTT 2016 was an awesome day out & the weather was just perfect!

With lots of Joeys & some sibling Cubs meeting up at the Scout Hall in the morning, a quick commute into town on the train saw them meet up with the rest of the crew to check-in opposite the Victorian Arts Centre.

The trail took in the Floral Clock, the Victorian Police memorial, the statue of Weary Dunlop, the Shrine of Remembrance & of course, the eternal flame, where the Joeys stopped for a moment. They then headed in to the Botanic Gardens, stopping briefly at the William Tell Rest House and venturing on to Guilfoyle’s Volcano.

After departing the Gardens, the Joeys walked along the Tan, where some very interesting ‘jogging’ styles were on show. They then made their way back to the last checkpoint, finding lots of enjoyment in the old school drains & falling leaves on the way.

Well done Joeys. Approximately 4.5 kilometres you travelled which is a great achievement for little people!

A big shout out to Leaders Spencer, Rachel, Anna & Ian for another perfectly organised event and a big thanks to parents for coming along to help out!
