Silver River, FL - Rhesus macaques were brought over in 1939 by Colonel Tooley, a tour boat captain in Florida who thought that monkeys would make a great attraction. He forgot one thing - they can swim. The monkeys multiplied quickly and now hundreds thrive in Florida's Silver River. (National Geographic/Comfort Theory)
