Solar panel cookers at the beach
All three solar panel cookers are using an oval granite-ware roaster pan in a plastic cooking bag.
They are closed with a clothes-pin and placed on a little wire rack to allow the sun to warm the bottoms in addition to the sides and top.
The HotPot has several ears of corn - in the husk. 2 hour cooking time and they were yummy.
The Cookit has 6 corn dogs which were done in about 30-45 minutes. All golden brown and perfectly crunchy on the outside. The kids were excited to have hot food after swimming.
The carshade funnel cooker has three chicken breasts with pineapple in a ginger-teri-sesame marinade. After 3 hours of cooking, they were great. The flavor really penetrated the chicken and the pineapple chunks are just amazing.
