Have I mentioned how much I love this new 2-part plaid stencil from Newton's Nook?! This is my 2nd time using it. I started by die cutting white cs with the largest postage stamp die (SSS) and then started with the red (TH barn door red) with the 1st stencil and then hickory smoke for the 2nd part on white cs, but only about 2/3 of the way. I then die cut a strip of sky blue cs with the postage stamp die and stamped the sentiment (Newton's Nook 'Simply Sentimental') in Versafine onyx black & clear embossed and then adhered it to the plaid panel. This was then adhered to a darker blue A2 card. I then stamped the blue jay (NN 'Winter Birds' set) in black & clear embossed; colored with Tombow & Copic markers and fussy cut. I popped him up on the blue strip. To finish, I added a row of blue gems (Jolee's) under the sentiment strip. (The Winter Birds set is also new and with this card I have now used all 4 birds in this set; I love birdies! And I highly recommend this cute set).
