Senior Day Out at the Gardens: Vegetable Gardening without a Garden: Clever Ideas for Growing Food on Patios or Balconies

It was a fun day at the Gardens Thursday, January 26. Seniors 62+ enjoyed guided tours of the Crystal Bridge, a lecture from Volunteer Coordinator, Lori Coats and an interactive activity. Just because you don’t have a yard or garden doesn’t mean you can’t grow your own delicious fresh fruits and vegetables. Learn how to turn your small spaces into food producing nooks and crannies by using space-saving techniques, the proper produce varieties and correct planting dates. Take the hard work out of vegetable gardening and bring the fun back!
