Under Penyghent

Spring comes slowly to the limestone Pennines as the giant mass of Penyghent looks down over a hill farm and the Settle & Carlisle line on which 34092 City of Wells is making light of the 1:100 gradient towards Ribblehead and Blea Moor.

Train name, "Cumbrian Mountain Pullman", 2nd May 1982.

Best seen large, then key F11.

Techy stuff: OM-2, Kodachrome, slide scan Epson V700. Location is Selside.
