A sunny winter day on Uttakleiv beach

It was a beautiful, frosty, sunny winter day on «Uttakleiv Beach». The colors are reduced to shades of blue, brown and white. The long exposure breaks the roaring surf and conveys peace, quiet and loneliness to the viewer. In terms of composition, lines starting from corners lead to a small puddle. The sunlit mountain «Skolmen» is reflected here. Vestvågøya, Lofoten, Norway.

 

I looked for a location in the shadow area on the far left of the beach for this shot. Here I climbed between massive and icy boulders down to the waterline. A/E bracketing and long exposure 1.7 to 20 seconds.
