Natural color image of the 49 km diameter Jezero Crater. This crater formerly hosted a lake with a delta system, and is a target for surface exploration by the Mars 2020 rover.
This image combines a mosaic of monochrome Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter CTX images with ~6 m/px resolution with color imagery from the Mars Express HRSC instrument, which has a color resolution of ~100 m/px. The large mismatch in resolution creates some color artifacts, especially near sharp boundaries.
