JU Homecoming/Family Weekend 2019
Homecoming and Family Weekend held September 26 – 28, 2019 was an exciting, action-packed adventure for students and alumni as well as their entire family.

Judson students interacted with local alumni and businesses for a new Job Fair and Network Night on Thursday, Sept. 26. Judson also hosted a Job Fair with area businesses for students and alumni to make connections for internships or jobs. Attendees heard from Alumna, Kesha Kent ’05, ’14, an empowerment speaker, author and trainer with more than 17 years of human resources experience during Network Night.

On Friday, Sept. 27, alumni and parents enjoyed the Alumni Chapel before going to Betty's Cafeteria for lunch. In the afternoon, several faculty and administrators attended “Going Back to Class” Information meetings. In the evening, Judson held Athletic Hall of Fame and introduced the next Hall of Fame Class of Andrea Boylard Hagenmaier (Women's Basketball, 1996); Vusa Nkomazana (Men's Soccer, 1998); Rocky DeWayne Robinson (Men's Basketball, 2009); Samantha Vestal (Women's Soccer, 2008); and Brent Weber (Men's Basketball, 1970).

On Saturday, Sept. 28, festivities began at 8 a.m. with the Fun Run/5K. The Wilson Hall alumni played against the Wilson Hall men in a Disc Golf Challenge. Other alumni games included basketball, baseball, softball and women’s soccer.

The Alumni Luncheon and Awards Ceremony honored our alumnus of the year Kristy Engel ’91, global consultant for Health for International Ministries, and Distinguished Alumni of Marcelo ’96, and Lisa Galvao ’95, founders of All Nations Sports Academy, and Mark Vargas ‘04, consultant, tech entrepreneur in health care and political opinion writer.

The young and the young at heart enjoyed an afternoon of face painting, inflatable play, food trucks, and lawn games at the Judson Fest!

In the evening, the DCWPA hosted the 20th Anniversary of the Worship Arts Program Celebration Concert with a joint alumni and student choir.
