Harmonia axyridis (Pallas, 1773)

It always seems ladybeetles have huge white eyes, until you look at them from up close. These Asian ladybeetles were introduced in Europe to get rid of aphids, but were found to also feed on larvae of native ladybeetle species. Not sure why people didn't use native species to get rid of aphids in the first place...
