Ye olde folks at ye church
This RPPC has a pen and ink message covering the entire reverse;
"This is one of the cards taken at the time of the anniversary of the congregational church. You will know so many in the picture. All your old friends; Mrs. Williams and Crowel, all the Gillmores, Princes, Horns, Porter, Mead, Fosket, K___, Snyder, Grubb, Linsey, Babcock, Rowley, Hills, Bradley, Krout. You hunt and find them. Thank you for the ones you send me. Please send a fridge if you find one. I wish I could have one of your little boy & Dag.[?] Love from all the Gillmores to you & love from your old friend Mrs. Ella Swish[?]. Pastor Brown in the window."This photo was enclosed in a letter and the indentation of the post office cancellation hammer can be seen. The postmark ends in ____ain.
The church ladies appear to be having a good laugh at being dressed in the Victorian finery of a generation or two preceding their own.
