about The Environment. Emre Ozdemir URVA (2010, 13 minutes) is a short documentary, which takes place in a remote village called Urva in Kastamonu, Turkey. The film documents a soon to be lost culture that has no room in the reality of modern Turkey and the world at large. In Karin Mak RED DUST (2010, 21 minutes), poisoned by the carcinogen cadmium in the battery factories where they worked, Ren and her comrades engage in a desperate struggle for justice. RED DUST captures rural and urban poverty and the risks involved in speaking up in China.
