The small clay tablets (pinakes) from a sanctuary near Penteskouphia/Corinth were dedicated to Poseidon or, respectively, his wife Amphitrite. The manufacturers and donors were potters and vase painters. On the reverse sides, the various production phases, in particular the firing processes, are depicted in rare precision.

Clay, 7th to 6th century BC
