XM163 - Lightning F.1 - ex-Royal Air Force - Leconfield - 20 July 74

Delivered to the Air Fighting Development Squadron at West Raynham in November 1960, the aircraft served until early 1972 before being placed into store at Leconfield where she was eventually broken up.

 

The aircraft behind it, XM145, wears the colours of the Leuchars Target Facilities Flight.
