Buffalo Creek and Gauley
The Buffalo Creek and Gauley Railroad in the steam era, ending about 1963. The BC&G operated 20 miles of track from a connection with the Baltimore and Ohio at Dundon, West Virginia to Widen, where there was a large mine which provided annually nearly one million tons of cargo for the railroad. BC&G was one of the last users of steam locomotives in regular operation in eastern USA.
