Hong Kong, Victoria Peak
Victoria peak is a "mountain" in the western half of Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is also known locally as Mount Austin or The Peak. It is the highest "mountain" on the island with an altitude of 552 metres at the peak, (hardly a challenge for Mount Everest). It is a major tourist attraction due to the amazing views over the city of Hong Kong and the surrounding harbour. A funicular like tram transports passengers from the street level up to a massive viewing platform, known as the Peak Tower, at the top (not quite the top because this is occupied by a telecommunications tower which is not open to the public).
