The End of The Red Road
On October 11th 2015, after many narrow escapes and delays, the greatest legacy of Glasgow's post-war tower block boom was finally brought crashing to the earth in the largest controlled implosion ever to take place in Europe.
Or so it seemed...
Due to a apparent misfiring/malfunction, the top stories of two of the towers (10 Red Road Court & 123 Petershill Drive) remained intact, leaving dozens of residents unable to return to their homes tonight. How they will be brought down safely is anyone's guess, but it'll need to be done sharpish...
