Horse's Gum

18 years of looking up at the mountain, I finally climbed it! My original plan was to climb to the absolute top to the Horsetooth Rock, but my uneasiness with heights got the better of me, and I ended my journey a few feet short, at the edge of the rock. So...I guess I can say that I climbed to the Horse's Gum... ;)

 

(Horsetooth Mountain -- The mountain is easily distinguishable by the large rock formation on its summit known as Horsetooth Rock. The formation is a prominent landmark of the nearby city of Fort Collins and often used as a symbol of that city, appearing in the official city seal. The name comes from its distinctive appearance.)
