Not a bug person
Back from vacation--and my longest "Flickr" vacation... Glad to be back in all regards!
I saw some pretty "scary" stuff in my photo trips to Benton Harbor and Michigan City, but this trip to Warren Woods was scariest for me.
In my first "assualt", I realized I had forgotten my battery, and my film was too slow for the woods. AND, I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos.
So 45 minutes later with my battery, I took off my t-shirt and put my long sleeve coat on, dowsed myself with Deep Woods Off, and plunged into the forest.
Warren Woods is the home of the last climax beech-maple forest in Michigan.
For an hour, the mosqiotos were repelled, I sweated profusely, and my photographic weaknesses played havoc.
As my sweat began to wear off the Deep Woods Off, I found myself walking faster and faster to the car.
Needless to say, I am not a bug person. (Explore)
