Bertie The Little Boat
The Lancaster canal at Preston in Lancashire.
Once inking Preston in Lancashire to Kendal in Westmorland, the Lancaster Canal is one of the country’s few coastal canals.
The picturesque northern section of the Canal was obliterated in 1968 when parts of the canal between Lancaster and Kendal were filled in to allow the new M6 motorway to be driven across it in three places.
