Fresh New Skin (Hyalophora cecropia)

    Newer Older

Here's a photo of my freshly molted 5th Instar Cecropia Caterpillar (Hyalophora cecropia). I've seen this one through since just after hatching and It's been one of the most incredible transformations I've had the opportunity to witness. It won't be long before it forms its cocoon and sleeps for the fall/winter. Hopefully it makes a triumphant emergence in late spring of 2019
