Wow, the color's really off here. Violet is much more purplish. I'll try to fix that.

Ryan H. Yeah, it looks pretty blue.

I dunno, it almost looks too purple now. :P It could just be my screen though...

Comparing my screen to the violet slope, it still looks a tiny bit blue, but I'll leave it. That's the bad part about working with digital colors :(

It looks like dark purple right now :/

The color does look like Dark Purple in real life too, until you compare it with Dark Purple.

What set is that engine/wing piece from and or what is it's part #?

    8. q_159 52 months ago | reply

k9iug it's from this galidor set
Ryan H. indeed, the color was so rare, I always think of Dark Purple too

Oh, and if you want some Technic for this, LMK. I've hoarded quite a bit.

    10. Brick Colorstream 52 months ago | reply

It's a cool color, but I don't really do much with technic. Thanks anyway!

No, I haven't, but going by the picture, it really doesn't look like Violet. I'm assuming it isn't until I'm proven otherwise! :)

The LEGO Group's parts database includes some BIONICLE parts (specifically, 2001 Matoran parts) in this color, but the theme never ended up using it.

If you could undo the color correction on this photo, I think it would be improved. Here, it looks TOO purple in my opinion. q_159's photo is closer to the color as I remember it.

      Fair enough :)

I compared it directly to the Violet parts I have, and it does look this purple to me. But I'll go with you and Q; it's probably better to leave it as is.

I dug up my Galidor parts recently, and based on that, I think this color may have had serious inconsistency issues too. The wing elements appear to be darker/more purplish than the TDN module.

...and you really missed an opportunity not putting a TDN module in this picture.
