happy acorn bento
october is my favorite month, so for tomorrow's lunch i wanted to celebrate the start of the fall season (tonight's the first night it's getting down to the 40s here in NYC!)
oh, and this bento was made inside my new milk & bitter box, which was part of the generous prize i received for winning the contest at hapa bento's fantastic blog!
back tier: white rice with sweet potato acorn (eggplant "cap", sesame seed eyes and nori mouth), nori oak leaf, takuwan slices.
front tier: fish and tofu-veggie jun (korean fried patties), slices of steamed eggplant and fresh radish, plus korean pickled radish (깍 두기) in a silicon cup with scallions and a bamboo food pick.
