A pair of BR 189s lug a loaded iron ore train, probably from the port of Antwerp along the Right bank Rhine valley line, The train is exiting the 1861 built old Loreley tunnel, to the right is the second bore completed 100 years later. I was inspired by a shot from a few years ago at this location ( ). Unfortunately the vegetation growth has not been kind with the original angle grown in and this version won't be far behind....I didn't mean to copy the weather but some morning clouds hid the sun. I did get this in sun the next day but annoyingly I like the cloudy version better...
