John Deere Compact Tractor

Newer Older

Spawned by a hankering to build something green and yellow...and a little different, I present the John Deere Model 3203 Compact Tractor. Meant to be a small, yet heavy duty workhorse, this tractor can be fitted with all kinds of additional doodads to suit all your farming needs. I built this particular model as it seemed to fit the tires and pieces I had available in yellow and green and it nicely fits The Aminal Kingdom build challenge over at LUGNuts. I’m quite happy with how this turned out but I learned only after I was almost finished building that they had to recall this particular model due to a potentially faulty forward drive pedal that can get stuck, posing a risk of loss of control and injury to the driver and any nearby looky-loos. Awww Nuts!

I ave to admit that for a little while I was wondering what it had to do with the Animal kingdom. It's a bit of a stretch, but very imaginative (as usual). Very nice MOC too!

Thanks all for all the awesome comments. Thanks especially to anyone who invited to a group or blogged me...especially blogged me, I appreciate that greatly. it was indeed a nice departure from my usual hot rods and customs but such a refreshing change to be able to do this. I really wish Lego had a license with John Deere.

Lino this is very similar to the John Deere that I mow my yard with...well excluding the roll bar and the fact that I never wash it !

gregory Hergert...hopefully yours wasn't on the recall list like this one is.
