Notre-Dame des Prairies
After building a smaller cathedral façade for a train layout I had the grand idea to make another one, but twice as big. Thus, began my journey of collecting more grey parts and researching and falling in love with French gothic architecture. The Cathedral is of my own design but heavily influenced by the great French cathedrals of Paris, Amiens, and Reims with top being of British design. This project was built over the course of 3 summers with around 500 total hours put into its design and construction. It contains around 25,000 parts and is almost 4 feet tall. This has been quite the journey being my largest MOC by far and pushing me as a builder. I hope you all enjoy Our Lady of the Prairies!
