Hit My Hot Button

Credit for this photo goes to the Oregon State Police who investigated this accident. Here is the link to the full description of the crash. Page down to the date 2/16/12.

How are the police able to enforce following-too-close laws when they cause an accident like this? Granted the officer may not have been 100% the cause, but he certainly has most of the fault.

The accident occurred in the Greater Portland, Oregon, area on one of the busy freeways (I-205) during morning rush hour. The Dodge is a Clackamas County Sheriff's vehicle. By the looks of the vehicle number on the bumper, it is a 2007 Dodge Charger.

They aren't always the best of drivers either, Tom... Just because they wear a badge doesn't give them the right to not follow the rules of safety...

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)

Just asking, did the State Police give permission to post this? I am only asking to be sure that it is following my group guidelines, and no offence is intended.
