Jethro Tull "Look into the Sun"
Jethro Tull Is an English Rock band that started in the late sixties.
Ian Anderson is the leader and only member from the group’s inception.
The group evolved playing a mix of Jazz and Blues evolving to move to
Heavy Rock and later including folk elements.
The band use the flute played by Ian Anderson as the key lead instrument. Replacing Mick Abrahams in 1969 Martin Barre is a highly regarded lead guitarist.
In 1967 the original four piece line up started to play live and adopted various stage names (Navy Blue and Bag of Blues) until settling on Jethro Tull, borrowed from an 18th-century farmer/inventor, proved popular and memorable, and it stuck.
The first album with Martin Barre on Guitar was the highly popular ‘Stand Up’. “Look Into The Sun” is the fifth track on the album and has always been one of my favourite tracks, not least because the guitar chord progression is easy to play along with. Jethro Tull continue to tour heavily around the world, and make the point of playing off the beaten track places alongside large cities. To date the band has released over twenty original albums, Ian Anderson has released four original albums. ‘Tull are currently touring Britain and play Liverpool in April 2012.
