Clockmill Pond is another favorite of mine, partly because there is no formal trail there anymore, but it's still easy to find and get to. The trail-head is located off the Powley-Piseco Road off of Route 10. The trip takes less than an hour with a full backpack. The lake doesn't seem like much upon your arrival, but it's unique shape makes it great to explore in a canoe or kayak. There is a nice rock peninsula which is ab ideal place to set up your campsite and have a fire. There is also an old rock dam, although little is known about the history of the lake. There are also several other lakes you can check out while in the area.
