A Nikon DSLR losing aperture control

"F0" or "F--" becomes indicated when a Nikon DSLR no longer detects a Nikkor lens. Since Manual Extension Tubes and Reverse Ring (with no electronic circuits) literally disconnects the link between the DSLR body and the lens, these annoying aperture issues pop up.
