89 Horsham Arts 7

    Newer Older

The 1936 Ritz / ABC cinema in Horsham had become far too large for the town by the time it closed - unaltered - in 1982. What happened next is an all too rare example of a sensitive adaptation to retain an entertainment role for the town.

So, if it could be done here - and it obviously could - why not elsewhere. I suppose the whole point is that the place was lucky enough to be slightly away from the town centre, and was able to keep its metaphorical head down, so to speak!
