King Kong Show Coloring Book ( Whitman 1971 )

This is a large, loose-page coloring book made for the Japanese market by Whitman.

The King Kong Show aired from 1966 to 1969 and was produced by Rankin and Bass who did all those animated holiday shows like Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. It also had characters designed by Jack Davis. The Kong cartoons were so successful Rankin and Bass extended the franchise to Toho who turned it into the live-action movie King Kong Escapes.
