Commissioner Hart Stebbins is holding a reception for her latest District 3 Art Show installation on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. on the 10th floor of One Civic Plaza, Suite 10111. "Mother Nature's Selfies" features the photography of Stan Ford.

This is the 39th in a series of exhibits showcasing the talent and creativity of District 3 art and artists. This exhibit will run through July 1.

Stan Ford is a nature photographer specializing in landscapes and wildlife. He primarily works in New Mexico, the national parks and monuments of the American Southwest and Hawaii.

After retiring from a career in local government, Stan decided to pursue photography - an interest that began in high school. His work draws upon his degrees in Biology (BS) and Natural Resources (MA).

Stan started “fotos by ford” as a way to share his passion for nature and the environment with others. The tagline – “images from a camera; not a computer” reflect his commitment to documenting nature as he actually experienced it.

He recently completed the first book of his images: “Mother Nature’s Selfies.” It is a compilation of his 50 favorite images from the past few years.
