Hands Across the Harbor & National Day of Action
On May 17, 2014 150 people came out to Wilmington, CA in the Port of LA to say NO to KXL and dirty fuels and YES to a healthy, clean energy future.

In light of the recent oil spills in the Atwater and Wilmington communities of Los Angeles, a crowd of concerned local residents and other Los Angelinos will rally at the Wilmington Waterfront Park in the Los Angeles Harbor to request that the Port of Los Angeles stop refining and storage of tar sands crude, call for a moratorium on fracking in the State of California and demand that President Obama and local officials reject the Keystone XL pipeline and other dirty fuel projects that threaten our communities and destabilize our climate. Hands Across the Harbor will be one of hundreds of synchronized events set for May 17, 2014 with Hands Across the Sand/Land and other partners to raise awareness about the dangers of dirty fuels and the need to speed the transition to available, affordable clean energy solutions.
