Before we hit Loch Morlich today, I went on a wander over a local moor and found a couple of old cottages. One had newspaper covering the walls, presumably for insulation, dated from 1905. The second had old cardboard boxes covering the walls. Some recognisable old brands but the most interesting was the dried eggs, which came in a box labelled with the post-WW2 Marshall Plan “For European Recovery” slogan. Pretty snazzy if you like your history.
