In the golden light of early morning, this mated Anhinga pair is reinforcing their nest. The male has just returned from pulling twigs from a nearby tree. He has delivered them to his mate and together they work to arrange the new material. Anhingas share nesting responsibility, each taking turns throughout the day to sit on the nest while the other hunts.
