Losing the Winter Coat
Spring is here, and the horses are shedding. Venice has lost quite a bit of coat already. But she still has long hairs under her chin, and on her belly, as well as some of the black winter undercoat. It's been hot the last few days, so after a run around the pasture, sweat turned some of the remaining winter coat on her chest and neck into little waves and ringlets. She'll soon be back to her metallic, golden bay summer coat.
