What a night!! What a collaboration!
Mike (TxPilot) and I first talked about light painting at the Stonehenge II site about a year ago, but we found out that it had been dismantled and was going to be destroyed. Then it found a new home in Ingram, TX about 7 miles away. Mike contacted the people in charge of the move and we found out that the relocation had just been completed 3 weeks ago, so we scrambled together a collab of 8 people and headed out there.
This is me doing a spin on the Altar.
The Hill County Arts Foundation has taken it upon themselves to make this amazing work part of their grounds. More info can be found here:
You can help by donating to the preservation effort. They have setup a PayPal account to accept contributions for this awesome piece of art, which reportedly has cost over $50,000 to move and setup/repair. They are in need of anything that people can offer, and have plans to build a picnic area and install lighting and informational signs. Please take a moment to visit and give a little. Thanks!
Also, if you would like to purchase prints of this or other Stonehenge II images, we will be donating the proceeds to the preservation efforts through the end of August and offering 15% off prices. Visit our website to purchase prints and use discount code StonehengeII at checkout:
