Dissasembly area. [ and balloon story.]
Julie is on the tailgate, me under the rainbow, Chelsea is next to me, and Penny at the front door of the truck.
We didn't take the float apart right away but took the helium balloons off and handed them out to the children in the park .
I came across a little girl [ about sevenish in age] who was standing by herself next to a tree, her back was facing the tree, she had her arms crossed and a mad/sad look on her face.[ the look is hard to describe , but I have a daughter and knew the look.]
I said " would you like a balloon?
She just shook her head "no".
Then I said "would you like TWO balloons?"
With her arms still crossed, she shook her head "yes" , took the balloons, smiled and ran back over to her family, they tied the balloons to a baby carrige. [ Apparently her sibling.]
I wonder if 20 years from now that girl will remember that day.
Sometimes the simplest acts can impact a persons life.
