Tip 1 - Always pre wash standard film types. This is the non plastic back neg types - Delta 3200 pro for example. Why, because so many say it does not make a difference. Actually it does, once you remove all those dyes that coat the film, it keeps your chemistry clean when it has to go to work on the shadows and highlights of a neg. It also and this is the big benefit, allows you to use stock development techniques without over extending the next development in the developer. Its true, this also does not harm quality in any discernible way.
