1% For The Planet - Panel Discussion
Understanding that it’s good business to protect the natural resources that have kept them in business, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, owner of Blue Ribbon Flies, in 2002 launched 1% for the Planet, a global movement of over 1,200 businesses of all sizes who have committed to donating at least 1% of their annual sales to sustainability-oriented nonprofit partners. Together, 1% for the Planet’s membership has invested more than $100 million in positive environmental change.

Join representatives from four members of the 1% for the Planet network — MEC, Salt Spring Coffee, Saul Good Gift Co. and Kris Holm Unicycles — in a panel discussion about environmental philanthropy as an effective business strategy. This lively conversation will be moderated by Mike Rowlands, Principal at Junxion Strategy.
