AE Senior Banquet
The Sigma Gamma Tau Senior Banquet, an AE tradition, featured a talk by Lockheed Martin CTO Keoki Jackson whose career has spanned nearly every aspect of the modern aerospace engineering legacy. His advice to graduating seniors?
"You all need to be systems engineers!" he said, half-jokingly, before emphasizing the bottom line:

"At the end of the day, we engineers do things that are complicated. We take complex problems, break them down, analyze them, and put them back together again. It's hard work, but hard work never lies in the real world. That same process of analysis will do you well in whatever field you enter. You can always fall back on systems skills."

The evening also featured three awards. The 2018 Outstanding Undergraduate Award went to sophomore Jonathan Parvano. The Outstanding Senior Award went to Bradenton, Florida native Theresa Polly. The 2018 Outstanding Faculty Award was given to Prof. Joseph H. Saleh.
