Survivors Totem Pole - early days

Skundaal Bernie Williams carves the Survivors Totem Pole from a 980 year old piece of Red Cedar from the Queen Charlotte Islands region officially Haida Gwaii at Sacred Circle in the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver, British Columbia. The totem pole, which will be erected in the Downtown Eastside, is in memory of all the survivors of systemic abuse and resulting violence experienced by the people of the Downtown Eastside and survivors who are still struggling.
