chairs after

i didn't intend them to be green but when i went to paint them friday the only color i had enough of was a tube of brilliant yellow green that i also found at the thrift store. i wanted to do cadmium red but i didn't have enough and cad red is $$. so green it was. i *love* the fabric on the seats. it's a vintage waverly found at the thrift store. so everything in the picture, including the paint? all from the thrift store!!

god damn that fabric is fantastico!
what do you know about the chairs?
the bend in the top wood piece makes me think they are similar possibly to a beautiful wood chair we got from the tstore that says made in yugoslavia on the bottom. it is not painted at all and the wood is very pretty. the seat cover, however, has got to go. black vinyl-y shit. boring.

there wasn't a label on the bottom so i don't know anything about them at all. i think they came from the factory painted because the original extremely perfect paint job was some extraordinarily shiny/tough black enamel.
