At the moment I am drowning in new pictures (yesterday and the day before again more shots of how spring is exploding in the netherlands), and then I always find it hard to show images from earlier trips. But since I am having so many from my Noord Oost Polder and Weerribben trip, I really should post this one first.

In the province of Overijssel there are numerous lovely villages surrounding the weerribben like Ossenzijl, Kalenberg, Vollenhove. The best know is Giethoorn, which is called there the Venice of the North. I am not sure if I would call it this way, but it is absolutely picturesque. Only problem is when showing pictures from the main attractions, it is loaded with boats with tourist, who never can escape from the pictures. Here I managed to take one without people, and it shows how lovely it looks. I really fell in love with this little village.
