Hey there! I'm an admin for a new Memphis-area photography site, Capture Memphis, and found your photos via a Flickr search for Memphis-area photos.

The local newspaper, the Commercial Appeal, is putting on a photo contest for the purpose of finding the absolute best photos of the Memphis area and publishing them in monthly spotlights, features and eventually in a hard-bound, coffee-table book.

What's unique about this contest is that users are in the drivers seat, voting for the photos they think are the best of the Memphis area. Our editors take a look at the top photos, as decided by users' votes, and publish them in monthly spotlights and in the Capture Memphis 2010 book which will be published later this year. There are a lot of prizes to be won, although for most photographers the exposure (especially if your photos make the book) is the primary reason to get involved.

The Capture Memphis site benefits photographers in many ways. It's all free and I think your photos would be a great fit. You retain all rights and you get some great exposure for your website, Flickr page, portfolio, etc. (we properly credit you, and link back to you all over the place). We even have a job board where photographers can list their services. What's great about Capture Memphis is it's becoming a place where thousands of local people interested in local photography visit every day. That means putting your photography, portfolio and photography services in front of the Capture Memphis audience is the perfect way to reach people who would be interested in you and your photography.

If you've got a free minute and want a shot at getting published, winning prizes, or just want to see some other great Memphis-area photos, head over to Capture Memphis at the link below.

Oh and we're set up with Flickr to use the Flickr API so putting your photos on the Capture Memphis website is a click of a button.

If you'd like to know more about the project, or want to shoot me a FlickrMail, please feel free to do so.

      Thanks for your time!

Hey Chris, I've been trying to copy photos to CM, but I get the following message on each attempt:
None of the photos in your batch successfully transferred. Please try again.
