Bad Weather Cameras

When I need to shoot in bad weather, I use an underwater camera. One such camera is the inexpensive Aqua Pix 35mm plastic underwater camera. The waterproof housing on the Aqua Pix protects the camera up to a depth of 6 meters. Also, the housing can be removed so that the camera can be used on land like any normal camera. Even though the Aqua Pix has a fixed-focus fixed-aperture wide-angle plastic lens, it is capable of taking decent photos.

When I need to use a better quality underwater camera, I use a Nikonos III. The Nikonos does not need special housing like the Aqua Pix because it was built with a waterproof watertight body that is capable of withstanding depths of 50 meters.
