Forte George in Niagara on the Lake,ON
...while my friends pursue the mysteries of alchemy, I decided to step on the real wild side. Soon, we will have a young visitor that most likely will need a simple manual camera, but not a point an shoot digital, something that can serve as a teaching tool for a future pinholer ( :-) :-) :-) )
I dusted off my 1950- 6x6 Ikonta, I could never muster the courage to pitch the Zeiss-Opton 80mm, 1:2.8 lens, it still all there. So in quite a long time I went out with a manual lens-ed camera. What an experience wandering if it all will be on focus, hah! Well in focus they all were and, sharp. I think I forgot how sharp an image could be.
6x6 Zeiss Ikonta 532/16 with 80mm-2.8 OptonT Zeiss coated, 1950. Film Adox25 CHS Expos. from 1/30 to 1/125, sunny mid day. In RO9 1+80 for 13 min. I cropped them to .8 ratio like a 4x5 it looks better to me. Location: Fort George, Ontario; 200 anniversary of the 1812 war with our friends to the south, we still debating who won that war.
